About Us

Neill & Co. is a specialist Music Industry practice, which was set up by Keith Neill in 1994. We are based in Theydon Bois, which is near Epping in Essex.

Keith is a Chartered Certified accountant who qualified in 1991. He became an Associate Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 1992, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Association in 1997. To find out more about the ACCA please click here.

Keith originally trained with Sloane & Co., a West End music practice. After qualifying he was promoted to Manager. As well as dealing with many high profile clients such as Soul II Soul, OMD, Mark Morrison, Maxi Priest and INXS a great deal of experience was gained in dealing with the affairs of smaller musicians, record labels, recording studios and management companies.

He left in 1993, and then spent 1½ years with Entertainment Accounting International running their Financial Accounting department. E.A.I. are a music practice based in the West End who specialise in Tour Accounting, Tax Planning, and Royalty Accounting and Audit with a diverse roster of clients ranging from Johnny Cash to Sheryl Crow, from Placido Domingo to Red Hot Chili Peppers, and from Tangerine Dream to Tricky.

In 1994 Keith decided to set up his own practice. A conscious decision was made not to be based in the West End; instead an office was set up in the provinces with the intention of keeping down overheads and hence fees. The practice has been very successful, and now acts for a multitude of Music Industry clients, as well as for some very interesting clients who have nothing at all to do with music!
